Guild I'm rolling with currently is goin Order. If you guys roll destro I'll definetly make an alt there. So far, Destro has had the zerg numbers. This means fast Q's on Order side = pvp levelling all the way. I like the class synergy on Order better but, fawk, destro toons look so badass.

If you're set on mdps, I'd suggest Witch Hunter over White Lion. Maurader is a solid choice tho. Are yall in beta? What server?

We are kinda leaning over to order since Pietro is like "Bright Wizard or death!!!" but the power gamer in me wants to roll a destruction melee gank group. (chosen, 2x marauder, 2x disciple, zealot, rawr assist train of doom!)

Anyway, ill be rolling swordmaster since he looks like a cross between a warrior and a rogue.

I was under the impression that it would be only us playing, but if more people end up playing we could organize something.

2nd chosen, or even better, a black orc and you got my ideal destro group.

swordmaster is pretty leet, lost a lot of cc / buff utility compared to IB. You can pump out some nice dps with the right spec. Look into their spiritual attacks + debuffs. Chews up other tanks pretty well.

I joined lotd in AoC and they're heading to WAR. Been doin the beta thing on and off most this year. Considering AoC's fail state atm, I've been giving WAR a lot of playtime. If you wanna app I'll definetly refer. They been doin the pvp mmo thing for the past 13 years, it's pretty well organised. Will likely be playing my main with them, unless some nigs want to start a dedicated 6-12 man squad.

We are still pretty lost on what to do. So far rolling order is a plan, but i guess after open beta we should have more ideas of what to expect and can make a concious decision.
Order or destruction really doesnt matter to me, what i would like to do is play with friends on a server with a good and competitive community.
Personally i would rather play with the nigma crew.

I think drack and shintta lead some stuff on daoc, so they might have a better plan them mine. But them again im a complete RvR newbie so ill go with the flow.

Things we are considering doing in WAR:

Rolling destro, which apparently has better melee synergy than order.
Having had extensive experience with DAoC,we are probably rolling something like what Noan said but with a black orc and a sorcerer.

Might end up rolling order because of pop issues if it becomes unbalanced on live.

Also, we might end up rolling on a RP server to avoid pop problems and 14 yr old zergs.
From the DAoC experience, RP/PVP servers tend to have a more mature community, and a better sense of realm pride, which is fundamental for RvR.

Anyways, we are probably putting a pwnage gank squad together.
Faction server formation etc all depends on my impressions over the open beta phase.

i like the idea of that group with 2 disciples to add 2 covenants to the high party sinergy with the chosen auras. That and the fact that with 3 healers it should be easier to keep the marauders up while they run that tatic that increases damage up to 180% as their HP go down, with 2 disciples drain healing it should be easier to keep them surfing between 10% ad 30% HP to max out DPS, while the zealot can focus on dropping shields on the marauders and throwing mass CC.

Again this is all theory after reading about some skills.
