Auran's version of an 'Open Beta' - throw together a ladder with $1m in sponsor product prizes.
Each download or pre-order generates one Beta key. Don't skim past the webpages until you get the D/L running. First run through I didn't write down my key - only to find out the emails sent to confirm your key are fawkT either from their end and/or some email provider's end. WRITE DOWN YOUR KEY.

First, load the game with full graphics + res. Looks juicy sweet awesome amirite? Now, when you're about to drop kick your PC and mail some Anthrax to Australia b/c the performace is SOOO TERRIBLE, close the game. Run the launcher again, choose options, select Lowspec Mode. Now, the game still hangs on loading, may crash, looks like it was made 5 years ago, but atleast it now performs under gameplay. If only the devs had better than mediocre experience, funding, and know-how of coding such a massive online app like any MMO project is.

The early game is confusing. You have very little room for skills or armor upgrades. Sometimes you get matched against high rank (level) players and get spanked. You don't know the maps, the power ups, or WTF IS A VORTEX CRYSTAL?

Despite all of this, the mid to end game is VERY FUN. No one is alike. Classes are more of a 'guide' - you ultimately decide what skills, armor and weapons to bring into each battle. All of this is balanced through a system of equip cost points. Both items and abilities have an equip cost based on tier, rank, and power. As you rank up (level) you gain more equip points (to wear more/stronger gear+skills). Top rank is Grand Master (lvl 10), so the grind does not take much. Ultimately you can unlock every single skill from every class in the game and switch between all your saved templates as much as you want. The gameplay itself is a lot faster than traditional rpg pvp. Taking a lot from Quake in terms of map design, speed, jump pads, timed powerups.

More later, gtgpeace.
